The candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the just-concluded presidential elections, Peter Obi, has expressed his dissatisfaction over the outcome of last Saturday’s elections.
Obi stated that the poll did not meet the minimum standard for a free and fair election, adding that it will go down as the most controversial election conducted in Nigeria.
The LP flagbearer said these while addressing a press conference in Abuja, being his first media appearance after the declaration of a winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He insisted that he won the elections and was ready to challenge the results till he proves his argument.
“Labour Party won the election and I will prove it,” Obi vowed.
“I will challenge this rascality for the future of the country.
“We will explore all legal and peaceful option to reclaim our mandate. We won the election and we will prove it to Nigerians”, he added.
The former Anambra Governor thanked his followers known as ‘Obidients’, urging them not to be deterred by the outcome of the polls.
“We will work for that new Nigeria that is possible, Datti and I remain committed to that new Nigeria”, Obi stated.
