The casualty figure in the accident involving a train and a Lagos State Government staff bus has risen to six.
A train coming into Lagos from Abeokuta rammed into a Lagos State Government staff bus that was about crossing the PWD/Sogunle rail and dragged the bus from Shogunle to the PWD area of Ikeja.
Two people were initially confirmed dead and several were injured in the accident.
The injured passengers were rushed to the trauma centre of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
The spokesman for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Adebayo Taofiq confirmed the sad incident in a telephone chat with newsmen.
